Equipping for Ministry Phase (III)

At this Phase a disciple has a strong personal relationship with God and has matured to the point that he is ready to begin having a ministry in the life of another person.
He is ready to learn how to share his testimony and the Gospel as well as how to deal with the questions non-believers often ask.

His new venture into ministry will cause him to consider issues such as time management, ministry priorities and spiritual warfare. As he continues to grow, he will learn more about the important doctrines that grow out of his position in Christ, and come to understand more about healthy relationships.

The material in Phase III has been designed to help a church (or other ministry) develop a progressive disciple building strategy for the ministry trainee.

Equipping for Ministry (Phase III) materials are organized around these disciple building themes: evangelism (including follow-up of new believers), beginning apologetics (answering questions from non-believers), spiritual warfare, healthy relationships, ministry principles, time management, positional truth and inductive Bible study.

Materials used in this Phase:

36 Teaching Outlines
Provide a classroom teacher with outlines that facilitate the communication of the primary theological content of this phase.

36 Pocket Principles
Provide a full text version of each Teaching Outline for a mentor to give a disciple, or for a teacher (leader) to use as handouts in a class.

30 Guided Discussions (for both a disciple and a leader)
Facilitate discussion of the biblical themes of Phase III in a community setting. Discussions based on content of Pocket Principles.

A year-long set of Devotions
Helps the disciple continue to grow in intimacy with God and in the discipline of a Quiet Time.

Evangelism Training Manual
Provides the teacher/mentor with lessons directed toward training disciples to effectively prepare and share their testimonies and their faith.

Bible Study Manual
Provides the disciple with basic bible study information (specifically inductive bible study skills at this phase).
